Teen Laptop Program

The Ashby Free Public Library Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the 2010 Spring Session of the

Laptop Computer

Volunteer Scholarship Program

Five responsible students, ages 13 and older, residing in the Town of Ashby, will be chosen to participate in this session. After completing 70 hours of volunteer work at the Ashby Free Public Library, the students are eligible to receive a refurbished Laptop Computer. The hours must be completed within seven months. Applications for this round are being accepted through April 20, 2010. Scheduled interviews and skills test will be held on Saturday, April 24th. Come by the Library for an application.

In order to participate in the laptop program the applicants must:

Be at least 13 years of age and be an Ashby resident
Submit an application either for the September or March start date
Take a library skills test, interview, and be offered a job
